Being Human, Being Discerning
There’s a certain unrest, unease, uncertainty that seems to be getting more and more pervasive.

Some of us perceive it as time being wonky – going faster, days slipping away, energy levels being lower.

Others are getting caught up in cycles of fear – about technology/surveillance/flock cameras, data centers, AI, war, etc.

Then there are those of us where our health is tanking and it doesn’t make sense since we’re doing “everything right.”

All of this is fair, because with the difficulties and problems going on it can affect any human in any of those ways.
Every aspect of our lives is being affected… such as a lot of “meat” sold at the store isn’t meat anymore, and that goes for other foods, too.
Like our chocolate is getting messed up… with lab made chocolate alternatives and bioengineered chocolate crops which will cross contaminate to natural chocolate.
And technology has gone too far…
Now they have the ability to use WiFi to track us, as in, cameras aren’t needed, they can use WiFi to see how we’re moving in our houses etc.
AI enabled surveillance is actually actively being installed across the country… because in a free country of course the entire population must be under constant surveillance.
Data centers are popping up all over the place causing air pollution, noise pollution, using up water (including in deserts that already don’t have much water), and use up so much energy.
I could go on, there are lots of bad and difficult things going on.

And I can already hear some of you saying, Doc! You are stressing me out even more now… but here’s the thing:

We do need to be aware of some of this stuff and not let them get away with it.
But also, we don’t actually have to play into all of this.

There are a lot of things in modern life that we don’t need, that don’t serve us, that don’t improve our lives, but they certainly do get us stuck in negative cycles.

For example, all of those wearable devices tracking all the things – your biometrics, your locations, etc – stop using those.
Those wearable devices stress out your nervous system with the additional EMF burden, as well as the mental burden of knowing all these details about everything.

We don’t need all of this information about ourselves, and we definitely don’t want 3rd parties knowing – instead, listen to your body. Start knowing your body.

Even fast food apps track you, figuring out your buying habits, pushing specific promos at certain times depending on your using habits.
It’s all to get you to buy more often, even knowing your location and if you’re lingering near a competitor (McDonald’s increased their revenue by 30% in 2024 with their app doing all of this with their users).

The solution here – well… stop eating crap food (for the love of God, fast food is not even food), and delete those types of apps (it’s not just the fast food apps).

Then there’s the burden of 5G, EMFs… my router is on a timer because I don’t need internet when I sleep. 5G is turned off on my phone. I use wired headphones…

When I look at products, I actively look for ones that don’t connect to an app.

Along with that, anything that sits in your house and responds to voice commands… it’s always listening, there are transcripts of what you are talking about in your house.
Between the EMF issue here and them turning you into a product with this…
… why would you use it? Why would you allow this into your home?

There are a lot of “conveniences” nowadays that are not making our lives better, that are actually burdening our bodies and nervous systems 24/7.

A lot of technology out there now… it’s not made for us, it’s to track us and collect data on us, to then sell more stuff to us.
That doom scrolling? Not helping you, not making you feel better, certainly not making your brain healthy.
And they track your eye movement, how long you spend on a post, pushing whatever they know that’ll keep you scrolling longer…

Think about it this way, in a world where even water isn’t free (pretty much all water needs filtering at this point, so at minimum we pay for the filter, if not the water itself), why would all the apps and AI be free?

So, again, step away from the technology that spins you off into stress and making you the product.

What I’m asking you to do is come back to being human.

Humans are not made to just sit in front of screens, be stuck inside, have our nervous systems go haywire nonstop.

We are supposed to be outside, be with other humans (that’s actually a big deal for our health), have community, eat real food, breathe real air, and move!

As humans, we have incredible potential and capacity to connect and to create.

So sometimes it’s not just us doing too much, keeping up with the rat race, it’s also that we don’t do enough of what lights us up – the things that make us truly human.

We need to create time for the things that make us love the feeling of living.

And in a world that is pushing our humanness aside, that prioritizes technology and AI (even taking away energy and water from human communities to feed the data centers), it is absolutely vital that we fully step into our humanness.

And no, I’m not demonizing all technology etc, but I certainly am calling for all of us to remember who and what we truly are and be discerning about what we use and allow into our lives.
Be discerning because the issues cover a far greater range than I can cover here, but it always comes back to you connecting with your humanness and being discerning.
Just because they made technology and devices available doesn’t mean we need it or should use it. Be smart with your choices.

Because ultimately, to get out of time slipping away, stuck in fear cycles, everything being overwhelming, we need to live our human potential.
