Garlic Pizza Sauce

I always like testing new things on myself, which means that I’ve done the Plant Paradox by Dr. Gundry. During that time, tomatos are not allowed. Still wanting to have my grain free pizza, we simply created a garlic sauce to go with it. And as there are some people who don’t do well with the nightshades in general, this is a good sauce to go with in that case as well.

Ingredients:

2 Tbsp unsalted butter

4-5 cloves garlic (minced)

3 Tbsp tapioca flour

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp ground black pepper

1/4 tsp dried oregano

1 cup milk (I prefer goat milk or coconut milk from a BPA free can without added guar gum)

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (optional, I’ve forgotten to add this and it still worked great)

Directions:

Melt the butter in a small pot or saucepan over medium heat. Add in garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Then whisk in the flour, salt, pepper, and oregano. Slowly add the milk and whisk until combined well. Continue whisking until you reach your desired thickness.

If using the parmesan cheese, remove pan from heat when desired thickness of the sauce is achieved and whisk the cheese in as well.

You can use this immediately or chill and store in the refrigerator until you are ready to use it.
