As many of you have probably heard, Thorne (the supplement company) is selling out to Proctor & Gamble.
For me, that means I will no longer be able to recommend Thorne in good conscience for several reasons:
1. Proctor & Gamble is a big corporation that has nothing to do with natural health, and that alone makes me weary when they buy a health supplement company.
2. Proctor & Gamble, being a big corporation, is already amassing billions (trillions?) of dollars, I personally don’t believe in giving all of our money to a handful of corporations.
3. Proctor & Gamble owns everything from Pampers and Luvs to bounce dryer sheets, downy, tide, gain, bounty, charmin, always, tampax, venus, aussie, herbal essences, old spice, cascade, febreze, mr. clean, swiffer, oral-B, meta mucil, pepto bismol, new chapter, zzzquil, native, olay…
- In short, they own a ton of companies that I wouldn’t touch because of the toxins in those products, so I don’t have grand hope that they’ll do better with Thorne.

4. When a company is bought, changes can be made to the product without us knowing, such as:
- How ingredients are sourced
- Tweaks and changes to ingredients and formulations, since loopholes
do exist
Let me give you some examples of why I don’t trust what goes on with a product after it has been bought by a big corporation (also letting me nudge on the issues in our food).
Primal Kitchen, was bought by Kraft Heinz…
… and in a study by UC Davis, Primal Kitchen failed when tested for avocado oil.
Siete chips, who was bought by Pepsico, also failed that test.

Considering the details above, I think it is clear why I am so choosy about which supplement brands I will, and will not, recommend.
As such, I am working on finding the best alternatives to all the products I have been recommending from Thorne.
Supplements have one purpose – support our health. When Thorne is bought, I personally don’t have that trust there anymore.
But while I won’t be recommending Thorne anymore, it is, of course, up to you if you want to continue with their products. As always, in my book, you get complete and total say over your health.
